Christmas I Spy 4" Charm Swap

New Christmas Fabric Swap 2015

It's that time again.  Christmas fabric should be easy to find.  I'm still working on  a Christmas Rag quilt for our family to snuggle up with, and play a little game of I spy so I thought let's do another swap.

This swap will be based on Christmas fabrics. Participants will send 10- 4"squares of five different Christmas themed fabric (preferably something you could I spy).

 1. We are swapping 4" squares. 1/8 yard of fabric should get you 10 squares.  (I recommend buying a 1/4 yard- you may need to fussy cut a little to get the item/object centered in the square, and you will probably have left overs.) You will need 10 of each fabric for 50 total.

 Small scale prints work best.

  2. Fabric must be quality 100% cotton. (No flannels, or cheap/thin fabric etc) Also please do not choose licensed prints like cartoon characters, Dora, Barbie, Sponge Bob, etc.  If you don't follow this rule your fabric will be returned to you un-swapped.

  3. Fabric must be new and unwashed and must come from a smoke free environment.

  4. Before sending your fabric to me, cut and press your fabric into 4" x 4" squares and sort into ten piles.

  5. Put your fabric in a ziplock bag and include a note card with your name, address and email address.

  6. In your envelope please include: the 50 charms in a ziplock; the note card; a PREPAID SELF ADDRESSED STAMPED ENVELOPE for me to mail your charms back to you! This is very important! If you do not send a SASE with your charms, I won't be able to mail them back to you. (Flat Rate Envelopes are $5.60, but first class will be less)

  7. Finally, upload a picture of your chosen fabrics to the group page  https://www.flickr.com/groups/2930455@N21/.  The Flickr group is where updated information will be posted.

Deadlines: You will be notified by email when the swap is full.  I would like to have the fabric mailed to me by Jan 15th.  As soon as we have 10 people sign up the swap will be full.  I will update the blog as we get participants.  Once swap is full you will have two weeks to mail in your fabric squares.  (the sooner I receive the fabric the sooner you'll get your fabric back) I will email everyone my mailing address once the spots are all filled.

This swap has 10 openings (9 open if including me). Sorry, but only US participants for this swap.

Also, leave your email address so I can contact you when we are full.

I Spy Abc Fabric Swap

I love anything sewing so when I saw all the cute novelty fabrics in the store I wanted them all.  I looked all over the internet for a current swap so I could build my stash and didn't find one so I'm starting my own.  This first swap will be based on novelty items that coincide with a letter of the alphabet.

My fabrics: V is for Vegetables, and P is for Pig

Each participant will pick a letter.

 1. We are swapping 6" squares. You will purchase 1yard of fabric and cut it into 6" squares.  (I recommend buying a little more than 1 yard- you may need to fussy cut a little to get the item/object that represents your letter centered in the square, and you will probably have left overs.) You will need 26 total.

 2. Choose a fabric that has a unique print suitable for an I Spy ABC quilt. (Think about an object that a child could identify) Small scale prints work best.

 4. Fabric must be new and unwashed and must come from a smoke free environment.

 5. Before sending your fabric to me, cut your fabric into 6" x 6" squares.

 6. Put your fabric in a ziplock bag and include a note card with your name, address and email address.

 7. In your envelope please include: the 26 charms in a ziplock; the note card; a PREPAID SELF ADDRESSED STAMPED ENVELOPE for me to mail your charms back to you! This is very important! If you do not send a SASE with your charms, I won't be able to mail them back to you. (Flat Rate Envelopes are $5.60, but first class will be less)

 8. Finally, upload a picture of your chosen fabric to the group page http://www.flickr.com/groups/2265598@N20/pool/ and label the letter in the description.  The Flickr group is where updated information will be posted.

Deadlines: You will be notified by email when the swap is full.  As soon as we have 26 people sign up for the letters we will be full.  I will update the blog as we get participants.  Once swap is full you will have two weeks to mail in your fabric squares.  (the sooner I receive the fabric the sooner you'll get your fabric back) I will email everyone my mailing address once the spots are all filled.

This swap has 26 openings (24 total including my two spots). Sorry, but only US participants for this swap. You can sign up for a maximum of two spots.

Applique Tooth Fairy Pillows

http://www.sewhappybaby.com/shop/product/tooth-fairy-helper-pillowI'm always in search of something new to create so when I came across this tooth applique I thought what a cute idea.
The green and red ones seem to be the most popular.
